Airprint any printer printopia4/12/2023 Once on vacation I actually went to a computer store and 'borrowed' their display printer to make a few printouts I needed in a hurry. ![]() The app really extends the value prop of "going laptopless" with just your iPad when you travel for business/pleasure. I have used it to connect to hotel concierge/executive center printers, printers at client locations, etc. And it gets very handy if you travel a bunch and need to make printouts in the field. zip package from Printopia’s website, you’ll have to double click on the installer inside it to install the app on your computer. We've also checked every other vendor and there isn't any label printer that support AirPrint and supports the label sizes that they need to print. We have checked and Zebra doesn't support AirPrint. A bit pricey $8.99 but far cheaper than buying a new printer. Also, setting up Printopia literally requires two clicks. One of the new features of the new system is that they want to print from iPads in their pharmacy to their existing Zebra ZD410 label printers. I routinely use it to print my Noteability documents.preserves colors, etc. The app has a bit of a quirky user interface but once you get the hang of it, you can print anything your iPad can display. for the Mac fans.yet another reason for any solo or small firm that is using iPads or iPhones to ensure that the office computer is an iMac. But if your printer is supported (most Canon models are) you don't need the helper app and you can do this direct between the iPad and the WiFi printer without your Mac being on/in sleep mode/whatever. They do offer a "helper" app for those few printers that aren't supported directly. ![]() Connection is via a wireless LAN (), either directly to AirPrint-compatible printers, or to non-compatible shared printers by way of a computer running Microsoft Windows, Linux, or macOS. There are some printers it won't support without the assistance of a 'helper app', but it works fine with my Canon Pixma MX870, which is NOT an Airprint-enabled printer. AirPrint is a feature in Apple Inc.s macOS and iOS operating systems for printing without installing printer-specific drivers. ![]() You can print to almost any WiFi connected printer direct from your iPad if you buy the app "Print N Share" from the app store. ^^ You don't have to buy an Airprint printer to print directly from the iPad.
